on june 27th, 2006 in new york city, 51art began.
teresa, the artist and founder follows her artistic passion by creating images
using black and white film. her subject matter is the everyday adventure and beauty of life.

her resume:
teresa has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Merchandising with a Minor in Art from Seton Hill College. she also has studied photography at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and the International Center of Photography in Manhattan, where she currently lives.
teresa has been creating art throughout her life, including painting with oils and acrylics and drawing with pen & ink, charcoal and pencil.
she finds the greatest joy in her black and white photography.

her other artistic passions include fashion and interior design. she began sewing at the age of 10, and has been making clothing and decorative home items ever since.
